FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
For how long do sterilised bottles remain sterile?
Once your baby's bottles have completed the 7-minute steam sterilization cycle, they will be sterile. To maintain this sterility, it's crucial to keep the lid of the microwave sterilizer closed. As long as the seal remains unbroken, the contents within the sterilizer, including your baby's bottles, will stay sterile for up to 24 hours.
Is sterilising baby bottles necessary?
Sterilising your baby's feeding equipment is especially important during their first year, particularly if they were born prematurely or have a weakened immune system.
Daily sterilising of feeding items may not be necessary for older, healthy babies if those items are cleaned properly after each use using a product such as the Pigeon Liquid Cleanser.
Benefits of using a Microwave Steriliser?
Microwave sterilisers use your microwave to effectively sterilise baby bottles, teats, and accessories. To ensure proper sterilisation, place the bottles and teats facing downwards, separated from each other. It's important to note that metallic based items should not be placed in a microwave steriliser.
How long does the Pigeon Microwave Steriliser take to sterilise?
Our Microwave Baby Bottle Steriliser sterilises up to 5 bottles in just 7 minutes, so you can prepare a fresh feed for your baby at any time of day or night.
