There are two different types of Pigeon bottles: SofTouch wide neck baby bottles: recommended for babies who are breastfed from birth or when weaning from breast to formula. Flexible slim neck baby bottles: recommended for babies who have been bottle fed from birth.

Do Pigeon bottles come with teats? If so, what size are they?

Yes, all Pigeon bottles are supplied with a teat. Each size bottle comes with a different teat size. See our teat size chart for more.

Are Pigeon baby bottles BPA and BPS free?

Yes, all Pigeon bottles are free of BPA and BPS. They are also free of formaldehyde and phthalate. We offer a PP, Glass, T-Ester and PPSU material within both the SofTouch ™ and Flexible ™ bottle.

What is the Pigeon bottle Air Ventilation System (AVS)?

The Pigeon SofTouch™ Peristaltic PLUS teats feature the Air Ventilation System (AVS™). This system helps regulate air pressure inside the bottle, ensuring smooth milk flow and minimising air intake during feeding. The AVS™ consists of special projections at the base and top of the teat and doesn't require any covering.

Are Pigeon bottles safe for newborns?

Yes, Pigeon baby bottles are designed with newborns in mind, offering features that ensure safety and comfort during feeding. They are BPA-free, made from high-quality materials, and equipped with anti-colic systems to minimise discomfort. Can I use the slim teats with the wide neck baby bottles and vice versa?

No, the teats aren’t interchangeable. Slim neck teats can only be used with slim neck bottles and wide neck teats can only be used with wide neck bottles.

What size baby bottles should you use?

The baby bottle size will depend on the baby’s feeding quantity in one sitting. Start with small bottles (120-160ml) and swap to bigger ones as the baby’s appetite grows.
