FAQ's about SofTouch™ Step-up Straw Bottle Set

What age is the Step-Up Straw Bottle Set suitable for?

Typically suitable when babies are ready to progress from bottle feeding towards straw or sipper type drinking—often around 6 months or when they show interest. The straw set helps develop oral motor skills and encourages upright drinking.

How do I clean the straw bottle set properly?

Disassemble all parts (bottle, straw, lid, straw valve). Use a straw brush to clean inside straw thoroughly. Wash with warm soapy water, rinse well. Sterilise those parts if they are safe for sterilisation. Replace straw or valve parts if flow reduces or any damage.

Will the straw set help reduce spills compared to regular bottle?

Yes, straw bottles often include a spill-proof or valve design to minimise leaks when the bottle is tipped. However, no bottle is completely leak proof—especially if straw or valve becomes damaged, or if overfilled.

Is the straw bottle set compatible with standard SofTouch teats or bottles?

The straw set is a separate system; teats aren’t used when straw is in place. The bottle body (if wide-neck SofTouch) may be compatible, but you must use the straw accessory parts (straw, valve, special lid) that come with the set.
