FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does “PP” mean and how is it different from PPSU or Glass in these bottles?

PP = polypropylene, a plastic known for being lightweight, relatively durable, cheaper, and heat-resistant (though less so than PPSU). It’s good for everyday use, especially where weight and cost are considerations. Glass is heavier, PPSU is more heat resistant; PP is in between.

Are these twin pack PP bottles suitable for hot formula or sterilisation?

Yes, PP bottles can be sterilised (boiling, steam, etc.) and handle everyday hot liquids. Be cautious of high or prolonged heat exposure which over time can degrade plastic. Always follow manufacturer’s instructions.

Will PP bottles absorb smell or stains? How to avoid this?

Plastic can sometimes retain colour or smell over time. To avoid this: wash immediately after use, avoid leaving milk to dry inside, use gentle scrub, avoid microwave or direct sunlight long durations. If discolouration or smell becomes strong, consider replacing.

How to choose between PP and PPSU or glass for 240 ml?

Consider your priorities: if you want light weight, cost-effectiveness, PP could be enough; if you want maximum heat resistance and durability, PPSU or glass. Also consider how often you sterilise, travel needs, and baby’s age/feeding volume.
