FAQ's about Pigeon Baby Fabric Softener 430ml

Is the Pigeon Baby Fabric Softener safe for newborn skin?

Yes, the Pigeon Baby Fabric Softener is dermatologically tested and formulated to be gentle on newborn-sensitive skin from 0+ months. It's free from dyes, parabens, phosphates, formaldehyde, optical brighteners, MIT, and lilial, so you can use it on your baby's clothes and Manchester with confidence. You can read more about how the formula was developed in the Pigeon cooling softener guide.

How does the Fabric Cool formula actually work?

The Fabric Cool technology in this softener works by treating the fibres of your baby's clothing to help lower the surface temperature of the fabric by up to 3.2°C. This means garments feel noticeably cooler against your baby's skin, which can help reduce discomfort in warmer weather or for babies prone to heat rash. It's a practical feature of the full Pigeon laundry range, designed with Australian conditions in mind.

Should I use the fabric softener alongside a baby laundry detergent?

Yes, the Pigeon Baby Fabric Softener is designed to be used in combination with a baby-safe laundry detergent, not as a replacement for one. For a complete laundry routine, pair it with the Pigeon Baby Laundry Detergent 500ml, which is also free from harsh chemicals and formulated for sensitive skin. Together they clean and condition baby's clothes without compromising on gentleness.

Is there a refill option available for the fabric softener?

Yes, if you use the softener regularly, the Pigeon Baby Fabric Softener 400ml Refill is a practical way to restock without buying a new bottle each time. It offers the same 99.99% antibacterial, Fabric Cool formula at a lower price point, and reduces packaging waste. Browse the full Pigeon laundry range to see all available sizes and formats.
