What makes the M size different from S in the Peristaltic Plus range?

The M size typically has a cross-cut or Y-cut (faster flow) than the S round-cut, letting more milk through when the baby’s sucking strength increases. It’s ideal for babies who have moved past the newborn stage and need a faster flow.

At what age is M best used?

Usually around 3-4 months, or when baby shows signs that the S flow is no longer sufficient—feed times are very long, baby seems frustrated, takes very long to finish usual amounts. Use baby’s cues.

Does changing to an M teat increase risk of colic or choking?

If you switch too early, yes there might be increased gulping or swallowing air. But the Peristaltic Plus teat includes an Air Ventilation System to help reduce trapped air. Make sure you supervise, choose appropriate flow, and observe the baby’s response.
