FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the Flexible™ Peristaltic Teat S good for?

The Teat S is a slim-neck, slow-flow silicone teat designed for newborns and young infants. Its soft double-thickness silicone and gentle flow make latching easier, especially for babies who are still learning how to bottle-feed.

How does the venting system in this teat help my baby during feeding?

The Flexible™ Peristaltic Teat includes a venting system that helps reduce the amount of air your baby swallows during feeds, which can lower the risk of colic and discomfort. The teat’s slim neck and soft silicone also support a more natural sucking motion.

How do I choose the right teat for my baby’s age and feeding style?

It’s important to match teat size and flow to your baby’s age, jaw strength, and feeding needs. The Teat S is ideal for newborns and early months. As your baby grows and their sucking becomes stronger, you may need to switch to a faster-flow teat. Pigeon discusses how to pick the best bottle and teat setup in their guide on finding the right bottle and teat for you and your bub.

How should I care for and when should I replace the teat?

Wash the teat thoroughly after each use with warm soapy water, rinse well, and sterilise using boiling water, steam or a steriliser. Because silicone teats wear out over time, Pigeon recommends replacing them approximately every 2–3 months, or sooner if you notice damage, discolouration, or the teat becoming sticky.
